More great jobs at Stanford Libraries

Stanford Libraries are hiring again, and we have some terrific jobs available:

  • Assistant University Librarian for Collection Development (Humanities and Social Sciences): “The AUL/CD is responsible for collection development within all humanities and social science subject areas. Collection development is viewed holistically at Stanford, with a focus on the content of the information object, rather than its format. Thus the AUL/CD will oversee the acquisition of a broad spectrum of materials, from traditional print to media to digital.”
  • Rare Map Curator, Stanford University Libraries: “…seeking an innovative, creative, inventive individual to develop a cutting edge program combining rare and historic cartographic materials with up-to-date geospatial technologies in support of teaching and research across the campus.”
  • Head Librarian and Bibliographer, Branner Earth Sciences Library: “If you are a subject specialist in an earth sciences discipline, consider joining a stellar team of science librarians at our top-ranked research university during this exciting time of change and challenges as we create dynamic science libraries for the 21st century.”
  • Science Data Librarian: “The person in this position will work with faculty, graduate students and SULAIR colleagues to collect, manage, curate, provide access to and assist in the analysis of science and engineering data.”
  • Social Sciences Librarian: “Serve as subject specialist for economics and political science, with possible future responsibility for an additional social science, depending on Library needs.”

Two jobs available at our Coordinate Libraries as well:

  • Research & Instruction Librarian, Jackson Library: “As part of the reference team, the Business & Instruction Librarian provides research and reference services to the students, faculty and staff of the Stanford – Graduate School of Business and other authorized users of Jackson Library.”
  • Metadata Librarian (Lane Medical School Library): “…the Metadata Librarian focuses on the creation and maintenance of metadata representing Lane’s digital, physical, and virtual collections of resources (ca. 350K records) in conjunction with other Resource Management staff.”
