Smoke a joint, save a library

From the San Jose Mercury News, San Jose City Councilman Pierluigi Oliverio has proposed an ordinance to regulate pot clubs in the city, stating:

“Let’s just face it, have an ordinance in place that limits the number of them, and figure out a way to make revenue from it,” he said. “If it means I can keep the libraries open one or two extra days, I don’t have a problem with that.”

I know plenty of libraries who make money for operating expenses from coffee shops and cafes, but I’m not aware of any library affiliated with a pot club. Imagine the advertising possibilities if San Jose becomes the first …

I’ll gladly do my part as a San Jose resident to help keep libraries open. :)
